Obituary for Joseph L. Signoretti, Sr.
Joseph L Signoretti Sr. Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend BILLERICA – Joseph L. Signoretti Sr., age 83, beloved husband of Rita C. (Wallin) Signoretti died Sunday at the E.N. Rogers VA Hospital in Bedford after a lengthy illness. He was born in Cambridge, July 28, 1931, a son of the late Louis and Frances (Garisto) Signoretti and lived in Cambridge, Watertown and Lowell before moving to Billerica in 1973. Mr. Signoretti worked for MA Highway for over 25 years and then as a Crossing Guard for the Town of Billerica prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks, the VFW Solomon Post, the Burlington American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He was also well known for the countless hours he spent volunteering at the E.N. Rogers VA Hospital in Bedford where he was recognized with several awards. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joseph Signoretti Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Hillsboro, NH and Michael Signoretti and his wife Pam of Nashua, NH; five daughters, Barbara White and her husband Ron of Alton, NH, Lisa Haerinck and her husband Dave of Jacksonville, FL, Victoria Signoretti and Carolyn Signoretti both of Billerica and Kristina Miner and her husband Kenneth of Townsend; one brother, Salvatore Signoretti and his wife Brenda of Watertown; two sisters, Mary Signoretti of Framingham and Betty Clifford and her husband Leo of E. Bridgewater as well as 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Frances Catapano and brother of the late Nicholas Signoretti. Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
