Obituary for Joseph Harvey Bergeron
JOSEPH HARVEY BERGERON WW II Coast Guard Veteran Joseph Harvey Bergeron – Age 89, husband of the late M. Ruth (Kerrigan) Bergeron and Mary F. (Devlin) Bergeron died Monday at the Douglas Jacobson Veterans Home in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born in Lowell, November 17, 1923, son of the late Alphege and Florida (Harvey) Bergeron and lived in Billerica and Dunstable before moving to Florida 11 years ago. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. Mr. Bergeron was employed as a Track Supervisor for the B & M Railroad before his retirement. He was a former member of the Billerica Country Club. He is survived by his daughters, Anne and Alvaro Gouveia Sr. of North Port, FL and Elaine and John Martin of Dunstable; his brother, Roger Bergeron of Woburn; his sisters, Lucienne Bergeron of Woburn and Pauline MacDonald of CT. Also survived by 2 grandchildren, John and Devlin Martin and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Bergeron was the brother of the late Paul Bergeron. BERGERON – Of Florida, formerly of Dunstable and Billerica, June 17, Joseph Harvey Bergeron. Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
