Obituary for Joseph G. Joncas Jr.
BILLERICA – Joseph G. Joncas Jr., age 89, beloved husband of the late Grace (O’Hara) Joncas died Thursday at Brightview Assisted Living in Billerica after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Boston, January 22, 1929 a son of the late Joseph G. Sr. and Martha (Story) Joncas and has been a Billerica resident for most of his life.

Mr. Joncas served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a custodian for the Town of Billerica working at the Marshall Middle School from 1962 until his retirement in 1994.

He is survived by his sister, Doris Joncas of Billerica as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was the father of the late Joseph G. Joncas III

Joncas Jr. Funeral Saturday, Feb. 17 from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Andrew’s Church, N. Billerica at 12 noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday, Feb. 16, from 4-7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn., 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
