Obituary for Joseph C. Smith
BILLERICA – Joseph C. Smith, age 80, beloved significant other of Gertrude Clark died Wednesday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born in Medford, Sept. 25, 1937 a son of the late Ernest L. and Josephine (Musucci) Smith and lived in Charlestown before moving to Billerica in 1978.
Mr. Smith served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a Car Salesman for several local auto dealerships.
Besides his loving companion he is survived by one daughter, Joanne Smith of Stoughton; one son Joseph Clark of Billerica; one brother Robert Smith Sr. of Billerica; two sisters, Jeanne Govostis of Winchester and Shirley Collier of Medford; three grandchildren, James, Melanie and Kyle, two great-grandchildren, Ava and Daniel as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ruth Farinato, Lefty Smith, Esther O'Connor and Rita Gliniak.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 28 at Fox Hill Cemetery,130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
