Obituary for Joseph Bova
Joseph Bova – Age 82, beloved husband of Laura R. (Cormier) Bova died Sunday at the Lowell General Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born in Cambridge, October 2, 1935, a son of the late Paul F. and Harriet M. (Clifford) Bova and has lived in Billerica since 1944. Mr. Bova proudly served in the Army National Guard.
Mr. Bova was employed as a Mechanic for UPS for 30 years having retired in 1984.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the former President of the Lowell Sportsman’s Club.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Donald Bova and his wife Wendy of Sandown, NH; his daughters, Darlene Paiva of Punta Gorda, FL, Donna Walker and her husband Michael, Lisa Santos and her fiancé Tony DaCosta and Laurie Knight and her husband Ron all of Billerica; his brother, John Bova of Billerica; his sister, Harriet Faria of Billerica, 12 grandchildren, Billy, Audrey, Michelle, DJ, Chris, Matthew, Brittany, Brandon, Ashley, Andrew, Tommy and Erik and 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Mr. Bova is the father of the late Joseph Bova and grandfather of the late Michael Walker and brother of the late Mary Lamphier.
BOVA – Of Billerica, Sept. 23, Joseph Bova, Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
