Obituary for Jose R. DaCova
Jose R. DaCova – Age 74, beloved husband of Luisa (Fernandes) DaCova died Saturday at his daughter’s home in Billerica surrounded by his family.
He was born in Ponta do Sol Madeira Portugal, February 5, 1944, a son of the late Agostinho and Jesuina (Rebola) DaCova and lived in France before moving to Somerville in 1983.
Mr. DaCova was employed at Datacon in Burlington for 20 years and later was employed in the maintenance department at Harvard University prior to his retirement.
Besides his wife, Mr. DaCova is survived by his daughters, Linda Sivananthan and her husband Siva of Stoneham and Nelia Pissarra and her husband Luis of Billerica; his sister, Lucia Silva of Stoneham as well as three grandchildren, Alexandra, Sabrina and Soraya and his great-granddaughter Mia.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:30 a.m. His committal will take place at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett. At the request of family, no visiting hours will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
