John Manetta, age 42, passed away Monday, October 9 at High Pointe House in Haverhill after an absolute savage battle with Rectal Cancer.
John was born on May 31, 1981, in Winchester. He grew up in Billerica, attended Billerica Schools and was a 1999 graduate of Shawsheen Tech. He continued to live there until his early 30s. John and his wife Bryanna settled in Salem, NH where they designed and built their dream home.
John was the proud owner of SWAT HVAC, which he ran with the help of his son Anthony for many years. Previously, John was an HVAC and Metal Fab teacher at Medford Tech. His expertise was built at his first HVAC job, being mentored, and loved by the late Joe DeCarlo Jr. at JD Heating and Cooling of Lexington. John was hands down the hardest worker you have ever met.
John cherished his family and loved spending all the free time he had with them. John loved going to yard sales and flea markets with his grandfather Pop. Bartering and flipping for a profit was one of his most favorite hobbies, which started with him riding his bike to The Pinehurst Sev on Tuesdays for his fresh copy of the WantAD. He was always riding- atvs, dirtbikes and side by sides. He treasured sharing these experiences with his family, especially at their second home in Berlin, NH.
John is survived by the love of his life, Bryanna (Verley) Manetta. His children: Anthony and his partner Chloe Leandro, Jordyn and Jace. His mother, Kathleen Brosnahan and her husband Robert of Billerica. His siblings: Melissa Micciche and her husband Todd, William and his wife Gina all from Billerica. His in-laws: Al and Michele Verley of Londonderry, NH, Alyssa Henry and her husband Deryn of Tampa, FL. and Grandmother Patricia Ricupero of Londonderry, NH. His nieces and nephews: Joe, Mikey, Arianna Micciche; Olivia Tambone, Ella Manetta; and Kaia Henry. His God Children: Keegan Giangregorio, Kylie and Abby Pendleton. He also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Hugh Manetta and his Grandparents Walter F. Adley Sr. and Catherine Adley.
