John Loycano Jr. – age 88, husband of the late Suzanne J. (Grella) Loycano died peacefully Saturday, July 6 at the Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus with his family at his side.
He was born in Everett, January 5, 1936, a son of the late John and Frances M. (Oliveri) Loycano and was raised in Everett and moved to Billerica 57 years ago. John proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was employed for General Electric for over 40 years in Lynn as a Manufacturing Engineer.
In his younger days John was an avid Tennis player, Golfer and Candlepin bowler. Later in life he enjoyed playing cards including Bridge, Cribbage and especially Poker.
He is survived by his son, Gregory Loycano and his wife Karen of Chelmsford; his daughter-in-law, Ellen Loycano of Hudson, NH; his brother, Robert Loycano and his wife Ann of Framingham; his sister, Agnes Foye of Washington, his three grandchildren, Kayla and her husband Dakota Loycano of Worchester, Christopher Loycano and Kyle Loycano. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Janice Oliveri of Billerica. He is predeceased by his son Michael and his brothers Joseph and Charles Loycano.
