John “Jack” Hayes – Age 60, died after a long illness on Thursday, January 19 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
Born in Stoneham on October 21, 1962 to the late John E. Hayes and Edna Hayes Carpenter, Jack lived in Billerica for most of his life where he worked and enjoyed many a high school football game played by generations of friends and family.
Jack was employed as a Facilities Technician for the Valley Collaborative in Billerica and was also a talented Stone Mason.
He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Saraceno of Marblehead, Susan Beale of Billerica and Beverly Morrison of Tewksbury; his brothers, James Hayes of Chelmsford, Thomas Hayes of Hallandale, FL, Richard Hayes of Groton and Michael Hayes of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 27 at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Billerica at https://www.billericabgc.com or American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
