Obituary for John J. "Jack" Corliss
BILLERICA – John J. “Jack” Corliss, age 86, beloved husband of 57 years to Carolyn (Fulton) Corliss died Thursday, February 17, at their home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Cambridge, October 26, 1935, a son of the late James and Elizabeth (Weymouth) Corliss and lived in Medford before moving to Billerica in 1988.
Jack served in the US Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and before his retirement, was employed at Kendall Confectionary in Cambridge.
In his spare time he was an avid golfer, loved to read crime and western novels, and was a self-taught guitarist and artist. Most important to him was spending time with his loving wife and family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, John Corliss Jr. and his wife Susan of York, ME, Karen Bradanese and her husband Gerry of Billerica, and Stephen Corliss and his wife Kristin of Concord; his siblings, Robert Corliss and his wife Dianne of Norwood and Linda Kendrick of North Andover; and also his seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Evan, Cassandra, Hunter, Colin, Reid and Robby, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late George Corliss of Billerica.
A Celebration of Jack’s life is being planned for a later date.
