Obituary for John H. Fanning Jr.
John H. Fanning Jr., age 87, husband of the late Sylvia F. (Glover) Fanning died Saturday at Sunny Acres Nursing home in Chelmsford. He was born in Providence, RI, May 23, 1924 a son of the late John H. Sr. and Margaret (Goodonson) and has been a Billerica resident for over 50 years. Mr. Fanning served in the US Army during WW II and was a truck driver for Zurback Steel in Salem, NH for 40 years. He was a member of local #25. He is survived by four daughters, Christine A. Fanning of Lowell, Gail D. Grove of Somerville, Colleen E. Ciocca of Topsfield and Hazel J. Leone of Lowell; one sister, Constance Brusca of FL; four grandchildren, Desiree Shay, Danielle Leone, Haley Grove and Erik Ciocca and one great-grandson Thomas Shay. He was also the father of the late John F. Fanning FANNING – Of Billerica, March 10, John H. Fanning Jr. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery.
