Obituary for John Gullage
BILLERICA - John Gullage, age 68, beloved husband of the late Robin J. (Chandler) died Tuesday after a two year battle with ALS.
He was born in Boston, July 5, 1951 a son of the late Rose D. (Beninati) Gullage and lived in Hyde Park before moving to Billerica in 1991.
John proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. attaining the rank of CPL before beginning a career with the Massachusetts Metropolitan Police and later the Massachusetts State Police, Troop E, which spanned almost 40 years.
John loved spending time with friends and family, sharing a beer, a meal, or a laugh. He loved to ride his 100th Anniversary Edition Harley that he was quick to remind people he won in a raffle. He loved vacationing and being by the water, especially in Myrtle Beach.
He is survived by his children, Kelly Giusti and her husband Matt of Bedford, Jessica Gullage and her husband Hector Delbrey of Lowell, Tracy Parasole of CA, Mary Jo Gullage of Billerica and John Gullage and his wife Erin of Londonderry, NH; his siblings, James Gullage, Valentino Pitta Jr., Patricia Killion, Anne Marie Sawtelle, and Marilyn Enman; his grandchildren, Hector, Davian, Kailen, Domenic, Dante, Yazelin, Josephine, Arianna and Bella as well as his companion Stacy Falzano. He was the brother of the late Michael and Paul Gullage.
Funeral Saturday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 3 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Compassionate Care ALS. http://www.ccals.org or to the Disabled American Veterans http://www.dav.org
