Obituary for John F. Walsh
John F. Walsh – Age 87, beloved husband of 67 years to Louise T. (James) Walsh died Thursday at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica. He was born in Boston, September 9, 1926, the son of the late Leo and Margaret (Harkins) Walsh and was raised in Charlestown before moving to Billerica 58 years ago. He was employed as a Truck Driver for Teamsters Local #25 prior to his retirement. Mr. Walsh is survived by his daughters, Judith Twomey of Boston and Jeanne Hare and her husband Skip of Cave Creek, AZ; his sons, John F. Walsh Jr. and his wife Ginny of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph “Bob” Walsh and his wife Nancy of Belmont, NH, James Walsh and his partner Will Bohanon of Sarasota, FL and Geoffrey James of Barre; his brothers, Leo Walsh of Chelmsford, Joe Walsh of Malden and Paul Walsh of Randolph. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Francis and Robert Walsh and Margaret Murray. WALSH – Of Billerica, July 17, John F. Walsh, Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew Church, Talbot Ave., Billerica at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
