John F. Skinner Sr., age 92, beloved husband of the late Claire L. (Martin) Skinner died October 3, 2022 in Canada.
He was born in Cambridge on September 2, 1930, a son of the late Frederick and Beatrice (Vino) Skinner, and he lived in Billerica for many years before moving to Canada.
Sergeant John F Skinner served as a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne in the US Army during the Korean war and was a Carpenter for Raytheon for over 30 years.
He is survived by three daughters, Katherine D’Abbraccio of Sarasota, FL, Claire Bailey of Pelham, NH, and Jacquelyn Acosta of SC; two sons, John F. Skinner Jr of Nashua and Frederick Skinner of Dracut, as well as 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Louisa Skinner and grandfather to Garrett Skinner.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 15, at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica, at noon. Please meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New England Lab Rescue at www.newenglandlabrescue.com
