Obituary for John F. Guilfoyle
John F. Guilfoyle - Age 84, husband of the late Dorothy M. (Cole) Guilfoyle died Tuesday at the Fairhaven Healthcare Center in Lowell.
He was born in Boston, August 25, 1925, the son of the late John P. Guilfoyle and Margaret M. (Quigley) Guilfoyle and lived in Boston and Billerica before moving to Dracut 16 years ago.
Mr. Guilfoyle served in the Navy during WW II and was a member of the V.F.W. Eggo Post in Billerica. He was employed as a Letter Carrier for over 30 years having worked at both the Watertown and Lexington Post Office.
He is survived by his sons, John Guilfoyle and his wife Deborah of Pepperell, Robert Guilfoyle and his wife Nancy of Townsend and Richard Guilfoyle and his wife Donna of Shapleigh, ME; his daughters, Peggy Houghton of Billerica and Diane McKenzie of Haverhill and is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
GUILFOYLE - Of Dracut, March 2, John F. Guilfoyle. Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMRORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover.
