
John F. Carr – Age 78, beloved husband of Barbara A. (Altavesta) McInerny died peacefully Sunday, June 8, at their home with his family at his side.
He was born in Cambridge, August 4, 1946, a son of the late John F. and Lillian (Palladino) Carr and lived in Billerica for most of his life. John proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
John was employed as a Mechanic for the former Wilmington Ford and the Independent Tallow Company in Woburn.
Besides his wife, John is survived by his son, Michael McInerny and his wife Kathleen of Billerica; his sister, Theresa Treska and her husband Arthur of Dracut; his grandchildren, Megan, Kaitlin and Alyssa and his nephews. He was the brother of the late Alan Carr.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica A graveside service with military honors will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Washington St. in Winchester.
