John E. Conway Jr. – age 62, beloved husband of Paula J. (O’Brien) Conway died peacefully Thursday, October 9 at their home after a long illness.
He was born in Baker City, Oregon, February 27, 1963, a son of Kay I. (Davis) Conway of Billerica and the late John E. Conway and lived in Everett before moving to Billerica in 2016.
John was employed for the IUOE, Operating Engineers Local 4 for over 30 years working for Fred Salvucci Corp. He was an avid Boston sports fan and had quite a collection of team hats & T-shirts.
Besides his wife and mother, John is survived by his sons, Michael Conway and his wife Nana of Newton and Steven Conway and wife Shealan of N. Providence, RI; his sisters, Terry Welsh of Dracut, Deborah Hughes and her husband Richard of Melrose and Melissa Dailey and long time companion Thomas of Merrimack, NH; his grandchildren, Rowan, Grant, Rhys, Maeve and Harrison, his mother in law, Margaret O’Brien of Billerica, sister in law Arlene LaFauci and husband Albert of Ossipee, NH. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and lifelong childhood friends Victor & Kevin Rosa. He was the brother of the late Robert Conway, late brother in law James “Dozer” Welsh and his beloved four legged companion, Gizmo.
John’s funeral arrangements will be private.
