Obituary for John B. Blinn
CARLISLE – John B. Blinn, age 55, beloved husband of Kathleen (Buckland/Dickey) Blinn died Thursday at Emerson Hospital in Concord after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Germany, Oct. 18, 1958, a son of the late William and Jean (Thompson) Blinn and lived in California before moving to Carlisle in 1982. Mr. Blinn was a Utility Systems Operator for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford since the early 80’s. He was known best for his dedication to his work and to the veterans. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping with his wife Kathy and their dog Darbie. John loved the weather in New England and could often be found plowing snow. Besides his wife he is survived by two step-sons, Jason Dickey and his wife Tiffany of Cheyenne, WY, and Stephen Dickey and his wife Andra of Skowhegan, ME; two brothers, David Blinn and Adam Blinn both of CA; one sister, Holly Marinkovich of VA and his beloved grandchildren, Joseph, Elijah, Marina and one on the way. BLINN – Of Carlisle, formerly of CA, John B. Blinn. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica. A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11a.m. also at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME.
