Obituary for John J. Kilroy
John J. Kilroy, Age 87, husband of the late Olivette T. (McAuliffe) Kilroy died Sunday at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Baltimore, MD, May 16, 1933, a son of the late Malachy and Margaret (Rafferty) Kilroy and lived in Boston for many years before moving to Billerica 58 years ago.
John proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was an alumni of Northeastern University.
Prior to his retirement, John worked as an Engineering Manager at Genrad and later worked as an Engineering Liaison for the MBTA for 20 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Martino of Framingham and his son, John Kilroy of Billerica; his grandchildren, Melissa Weldon and her husband Tim, Justin Martino and Regina Martino and his great grandchildren, Jordan and Jackson Weldon.
A visitation will be held Wednesday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd. Billerica from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
