Obituary for John F. Erickson
John F. Erickson – Age 88, beloved husband of Janet A. (Barr) Erickson passed Thursday at Tufts N.E. Medical Center in Boston.
He was born in Blackstone, August 26, 1930, a son of the late Walter and Martha (Creighton) Erickson and lived in Billerica for 40 years before moving to Florida for 15 years and most recently moving back to Billerica. Mr. Erickson proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years having served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Mr. Erickson was an avid golfer and was a member of the American Legion in Florida and was also a friend of Bill W.
Besides his wife, Mr. Erickson is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Erickson) Clancy of N. Billerica; his sons, John Erickson Jr. and his wife Debra of Lutz, FL and Timothy Erickson and his wife Deborah of N. Billerica; his sister, Mary Brodie of Peabody and is also survived by six grandchildren Nicole, Michael, Kyle, Madison, John III and Julieanne that he truly treasured and adored.

Erickson, Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1661 Worcester Rd., Framingham, MA 01701.
