Obituary for John A. Iodice Jr.
John A. Iodice Jr. – Age 87, died Tuesday at the Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Templeton, June 11, 1931, a son of the late John A. Iodice Sr. and Helga (Starsja) Iodice and lived in Lowell before moving to Dracut ten years ago.
Mr. Iodice graduated from Boston University in 1954 and later served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. He was employed as a Teacher for the Lexington School Department for 37 years and retired in 1992.
He was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and the MA Audubon Society and loved to travel and was an avid tennis player.
Mr. Iodice is survived by his daughters, Mary Cockrell of Lynn, Jeanne Arricale and husband Michael of Billerica , Lorain MacDonald and husband David of Nashua, NH and Helen Iodice of Manchester , NH ; his sister, Lorraine Webb of Hudson, NH; four grandchildren, Antione and George Hajjar, Michael Arricale and Steven Murnane, three great grandchildren, Angelina, Aaliyah and Lilah Hajjar and his Dear Friend, Mickey Matthews of Charlestown . He was the former husband of the late Margaret (Powers) Iodice.

Iodice Jr., Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, N. Tewksbury.
