Obituary for Joanne M. Kasinskas
Joanne M. Kasinskas – Age 77, passed away peacefully in Lowell surrounded by family.
She was born in Medford, March 29, 1940, a daughter of the late William J. and Frances M. (Mahon) Thompson. Joanne grew up in the Nutting Lake neighborhood in Billerica, and raised her own children in the same neighborhood.
Joanne loved to make crafts and crochet. She spent endless hours with her children and grandchildren making ghost lollipops or Christmas trees out of Tootsie-Rolls, and delighted with the kids’ joy. In recent years, she used a tablet computer and reconnected with many old friends playing Words with Friends online. She loved trips to Rockport.
Everyone who knew her called her Nana.
Joanne will be remembered as a lady full of love and grace.
Mrs. Kasinskas is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Richard and her husband Peter of Hudson, NH, Karen Kasinskas of Lowell and Donna Hall and her husband Brian also of Lowell; her son Anthony Kasinskas Jr. of Dracut; her sister, Frances Bryk of NY and is survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

(Thompson) Kasinskas, Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Ave., Cambridge at 12:30. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
