Obituary for Joanne M. Cooley
Joanne M. Cooley-Age 68, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family August 8, 2015 at her home in Billerica after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Everett, May 1, 1947, a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Kalinick) Sobolewski and the sister of the late MaryLou DeGurski.
Joanne lived in Chelsea for many years before moving to Billerica 42 years ago where she lived with her husband William Cooley, the love of her life, whom together they celebrated 50 years of marriage in February.
She is survived by her loving children, her sons, William Cooley and his wife Stephanie of Norfolk, MA, Brian Cooley of Reading, MA and her daughter Lori Mazzotta and her husband Christopher of Billerica, MA.
More than anything her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren, Steven and Elizabeth Cooley and Ava and Sofia Mazzotta. She cherished being a part of their life everyday and has left an imprint on their lives forever.
Joanne was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grammy, and friend always putting others before herself. She enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them. She had the most generous loving heart, sense of humor and touched many lives with her presence. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. Her memory will live on in all of our hearts forever.
COOLEY – Of Billerica, August 8, Joanne M. Cooley, Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Church at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
