Obituary for Joan L. Fitzgerald
Billerica – Joan L. Fitzgerald – Age 85, wife of the late Billerica Police Lt. William J. Fitzgerald died Saturday at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica. She was born in Everett, March 19, 1929, a daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Laing) Hansbury and lived in Chelsea and Arlington before moving to Billerica in 1954. Mrs. Fitzgerald worked at the Lowell Five Bank prior to working as a Telephone Operator for AT&T where she retired from. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Billerica and was an avid seamstress who was well known for her high quality work. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Goodwin of Barnstead, NH, Carol Jop and her husband Gary of Tewksbury, Pamela Sampson and her husband Joseph of Salisbury and Joanie Senna and her husband Kevin of Hudson, NH; her sister, Kathleen Monaco of Abington and two grandchildren, Gary Jop and his wife Katharine and Kristine Senna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James and John Hansbury. FITZGERALD – Of Billerica, April 12, Joan L. (Hansbury) Fitzgerald, Visiting hours will be held Thursday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 11-12 Noon. A funeral service will be held at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 14 Treble Cove Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica
