Obituary for Joan C. Dill

Joan C. Dill “Joannie” (Bernardinelli) of Hudson, FL (formerly of Tewksbury, MA) suddenly on October 29, 2022. Beloved wife of Kenneth Dill. Predeceased by her parents, Nick and Glady Bernardinelli. Also predeceased by her sister Glady. Born and raised in the Dorchester section of Boston, MA, Joannie graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School for girls in 1966. She went on to work at various insurance companies, such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield and then John Hancock until taking an early retirement. She had multiple positions in these agencies as Supervisor and Director. During these years she continued education at Northeastern University. Joannie was very fair, dependable, and well respected in these management roles. Joannie loved to sing and showed this talent and passion at a very young age, often involving sing-a longs with family and friends. She was creative, adventurous and loved a good challenge. Her other interests were oil painting, traveling, cooking, hosting gatherings, the ocean, and animals. Joannie was incredibly funny and there was always laughter around her. After Joannie retired from John Hancock, she started a DJ/Karaoke business, working events and parties. She had a beautiful voice and sang professionally. Joannie leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Kenny and her twin sisters, Pat Haynes and Gerry Stanley. She leaves behind her adored rescued cats, Lucky and Lulu and also in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. A graveside memorial will be held in the Spring of 2023 at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MSPCA at Nevins Farm at mspca.org/nevinsgift or to the charity of one's choice.
