Obituary for Jo-Ann Rizzari
HAVERHILL – Jo-Ann Rizzari, age 58, died unexpectedly Saturday at her home.
She was born in Germany, February 21, 1958 a daughter of the late Joseph and Ingeborg (Timm) Rizzari. She was a longtime Billerica resident before moving to Haverhill 30 years ago.
Jo-Ann graduated from Shawsheen Tech and graduated Summa Cum Laude with both her BA and Masters in Systems Engineering from Northeastern University and worked as a Systems Engineer for MITRE Corp. for many years.
In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, trips to Foxwoods but especially liked spending time with her family.
She is survived by three brothers, Joseph Rizzari of Dracut, Michael Rizzari of Bedford and Robert Rizzari and his wife Christine of Billerica; one sister, Kristina Barnett of Lowell; her brother-in-law Douglas Spurling of Haverhill as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Michaella (Michelle) Spurling and aunt of the late Joseph Barnett.
RIZZARI – Of Haverhill, formerly of Billerica, unexpectedly Dec. 31. Jo-Ann Rizzari. Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 75 Kneeland St. Boston, MA 02111.
