Jeanne A. Daye – Age 69, beloved wife, mother, and friend, died peacefully at her home on Sunday with her family at her side.
Jeanne was born in Lowell, July 31, 1953, a daughter of Barbara (Cooke) Bailey of Billerica. She grew up and raised her family in Billerica her entire life. She was married to Edward W. Daye for 50 years, and they had three daughters who loved their mother dearly.
She worked at Lahey Hospital for 30 years prior to her retirement. Throughout those years she met so many wonderful people, and built friendships that she cherished greatly.
One of her greatest joys was spending time with family and friends. She especially loved time with her grandchildren. She loved her car rides, listening to oldies, spending time at the beach or the lake in Maine, watching the patriots, planting flowers, and hosting holidays and family gatherings.
Besides her husband and mother, Jeanne is survived by her daughters, Melissa Daye of Nashua, NH, Kerry Tucker and her husband Brian of Clemson, SC, and Lisa Daye of Oakland, CA; and her dearly loved grandchildren Natalie and Grady. Her brothers, Douglas (Beverly) Bailey of Tewksbury, MA, Bruce Bailey of Hudson, NH and her late brother Gary (Judy) Bailey of Alfred, NY. She was the best aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and loved many of her out of state cousins.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 30 at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in in her name to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 414238, Boston, MA 02241
