Obituary for Jason P. Santos

Jason P. Santos – age 23, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 2 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.

He was born in Lowell, June 10, 2000, raised by his father Paul C. Santos and his wife Chanyn of Groton. Jason lived in Billerica for most of his life before moving to Groton three years ago.

Jason graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in 2019. Soon after graduation, Jason entered the apprenticeship program for the Carpenter’s Union and was about to turn journeyman. Since entering the program, Jason was employed as an Installer for Allegheny Contract Flooring in Winchester, often working alongside his dad.

Since Jason could walk, he wanted to ride. Growing up, you could find him on something with wheels. When he was little, it was his Power Wheels dirt bike that he would ride until the battery ran out. Then, as he got older, it was a race bike at the BMX track or on a skateboard at the park. As an adult, Jason had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed spending time working on his vehicles and loved driving them even more.

Jason is also survived by his sister, Stephanie Santos of Dracut, brother Justin Santos of Groton, brother Zachary Valentine of Chicopee, sister Morgan Valentine of Chicopee; stepfather Walter Valentine of CT; mother Colleen (Beals-Ryder) Valentine of Chicopee; his longtime girlfriend, Stella Sampson of Billerica; and his paternal grandparents, Adal and Manuel Santos of Arlington.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 10 at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Jason’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
