Jane M. Shanley – age 79, beloved wife of Joseph V. Shanley died peacefully Tuesday, July 15 at their home with her family at her side.
She was born in Cambridge, January 8, 1946, a daughter of the late Edward and Geraldine (Murray) Colleran and was raised in Cambridge and moved to Billerica in 1975.
Jane was a former member of Billerica Access Television and also served on their Board of Directors.
Besides her husband, Jane is survived by her children, Joseph Shanley of Somersworth, NH, Kerry Flynn and her husband David of Portsmouth, NH, Edward Shanley and his wife Diane of Billerica and Colleen Heckman and her husband Josh of Hampton, NH; her brothers, Lawrence Colleran of N. Reading, Matthew Colleran of Rowley and Keith Colleran of Salem and is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Meghan, Catherine, Lindsey and Eryn.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 21 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Her burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Tufts Medicine Care at Home.
