Obituary for James R. Murnane
James R. Murnane – Age 74, beloved husband of Shirley G. (Campbell) Murnane died Wednesday at their home surrounded by his family. He was born in Charlestown, April 27, 1938, the son of the late Daniel and Virginia (Mortell) Murnane and lived in Somerville before moving to Billerica in 1972. Mr. Murnane was employed as a Truck Driver for Local 25 for over 35 years prior to his retirement and was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks #2071. Besides his wife, Mr. Murnane is survived by his sons, James Murnane Jr., Ronald Murnane, Daniel Murnane, Kenneth Murnane and Thomas Murnane all of Billerica, Steven Murnane of Lowell, David Murnane of Leominster and Timothy Murnane of San Antonio, TX; his sisters, Carol Millis of Natick, Doreen Milliken of Haverhill and Patricia Sevigny of Derry, NH. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Murnane was the grandfather of the late Jacob Murnane and brother of the late Richard Murnane and Marlene Gallagher. Murnane, Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
