Obituary for James J. Spencer
BILLERICA – James J. Spencer, age 82, beloved husband of Lois M. (Coppinger) Spencer died unexpectedly Tuesday at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was born in Woburn, July 16, 1929 one of eleven children of the late Robert H. and Mary T. (Jones) Spencer and lived in Woburn prior to moving to Billerica in 1949. Mr. Spencer was a heat treater for TRW in Cambridge for 37 years, and more recently worked at New Penn Trucking in Billerica. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Church in Billerica where he served as an usher at the 4 p.m. mass on Saturday’s. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Deborah Robitaille and her husband Leo of Lowell; three grandchildren, James, Adam and Nicole Robitaille; his dear friends, Diane McNamara, Thomas Chabot and Dan Dugan as well as many nieces and nephews. SPENCER – Of Billerica, formerly of Woburn, unexpectedly July 10, James J. Spencer. Visiting hours will be held at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd. Billerica, Friday from 9 – 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday in St. Mary’s Church, Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
