Obituary for James W. Brennan

James W. Brennan – Age 82 – beloved husband of Ann M. (Foresteire) Brennan died Wednesday at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.

He was born in Boston, November 6, 1932, a son of the late Frank and Cecelia (King) Brennan and was raised in Billerica before moving to Lowell 20 years ago. He was a self employed painter in the Billerica area for many years.

Mr. Brennan served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a former Past Commander of the V.F.W. Solomon Post #8819 in N. Billerica. Mr. Brennan with the assistance of the Boy Scouts was responsible for the construction of the Solomon Memorial in N. Billerica. He was also a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks #2071.

Besides his wife, Mr. Brennan is survived by his daughters, Sandra Brennan and Pamela Brennan of Seabrook, NH, Diane Farmer, Carol Brennan and Tammi Lawrence of Billerica; his sons, Brian Brennan and Dale Brennan of Billerica; his brothers, Joseph Brennan of Ayer and John Brennan of Billerica; his sisters, Judy Thunander of TN and Kathy Naughton of FL. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late James Brennan Jr.

BRENNAN – Of Lowell, formerly of Billerica, Sept. 30, James W. Brennan. Visiting hours will be held Friday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge Park Drive, Cambridge, MA 02140.
