Obituary for Jacob D. 'Jack' Pichnarcik, Jr.

Jacob D. ‘Jack’ Pichnarcik, Jr., age 60 of Lunenburg, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 18th, after a courageous 3-year battle with multiple myeloma, with his wife and daughter by his side.

Born on October 9, 1964, in Meriden, Connecticut, Jack was raised in Lunenburg by the late Jacob Pichnarcik, Sr., and Susan J. Burgess. He graduated from Montachusett Technical School with a focus on autobody in 1982.

For almost 27 years, Jack worked for P&S Trucks & Parts and, most recently, delivered lumber and provided maintenance to the heavy equipment for Maki Building Centers.

Jack was a well-rounded handyman. He enjoyed upkeeping his home, especially his lawn. He was a man of few words who liked the simple things in life. All he needed was a cigar, a beer, his family, and his work to make him happy.

Jack is survived by his wife, who together would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on June 28th, Patricia A. ‘Patti’ (Sheldon) Pichnarcik; his daughter, Carolann Pichnarcik, and her boyfriend Joshua Hunt, of Billerica; his brother, Daniel Pichnarcik and his wife Tracy of Lunenburg; his sister, Debra Rogers of Nashua, N.H., and his brother-in-law, Michael Sheldon of Leominster. Jack is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Brooke Rogers, Dylan Pichnarcik, Morgan Joseph, and Michael Sheldon Jr.

In addition to his father, Jack was predeceased by his son, Mark S. Pichnarcik, who died in 2007 after a 4-year battle with leukemia, and cherished family dog, Snoopy.

Patti and Carolann would like to give their heartfelt thank you to Brian and Beth Pomerleau for their love and support over the years. In addition, they wanted to give a special thank you to Dr. Andrew Yee, Dr. James Weitzman, Cindy, Kat, and Meredith of M.G.H. Center for the wonderful care they provided Jack over the past 3 years.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in South Cemetery, 72 Page St., Lunenburg, MA, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
