Irene R. Ballotta, 86, of Billerica, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024. She was at home with her family and surrounded by much love. Irene was born, to the late Paul C. and Eda (Matteucci) Ballotta, Sr. on May 11, 1937 in Boston, and grew up in Somerville.
Irene was unequivocally devoted to her family. She was loved and appreciated by all who were graced by her presence. She was truly an angel on earth.
She is survived by two sisters, Rose Gallezzo of Billerica and Elizabeth Campbell of Wilmington, a sister-in-law, Arline Ballotta of Stoneham, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. Irene was predeceased by two brothers, Paul C. Ballotta, Jr. and Philip Ballotta, and two brothers-in-law, Ralph D. Gallezzo and Donald F. Campbell, Sr.
Irene was a Bookkeeper for one company, Faulkner Brother Oil, in Somerville for over 70 years. She was as loyal and devoted to her work family as she was to her family at home.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 3, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Road, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
