Obituary for Ignatius James Howell
BILLERICA – Ignatius James Howell, age 87, beloved husband of Mary (Josselyn) Howell died Friday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford. He was born in Charlestown, October 28, 1925 and has been a Billerica resident for over 60 years. Mr. Howell served in with the US Coast Guard Merchant Marine for five years in the North Atlantic during WW II, was a truck driver for Local 25 and a member of the Teamsters for 35 years. He was also a member of the Billerica Golden Age Club and a life member and past president of the Billerica Rod and Gun Club. Besides his wife he is survived by one brother Harvey Howell of FL and several loving nieces, nephews and special friends. He was the father of the late Kevin and David Howell and brother of the late Walter Howell and Marguerite Flynn. HOWELL – Of Billerica, Nov. 9. Ignatius James Howell. Funeral Wednesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
