Obituary for Hugo Helmer
Hugo Helmer – Age 79, beloved husband of Helga M. (Michel) Helmer and the late Marina (Petahtegoose) Helmer.
He was born in Schwangau , Germany , February 22, 1937, a son of the late Leo and Ludovika (Sattelberger) Helmer. He was raised in Germany before moving to Canada, then Burlington before settling into Billerica 50 years ago.
Mr. Helmer was a founder of King Ludwig Bavarian Band and was affiliated with Crotched Mountain Ski Area. He was a former Ski Teacher for many town recreation programs in the Billerica area. Mr. Helmer was the owner of H&H Gunite Pools in Billerica and was also a home builder. In retirement he was a member of the Toy Makers of Port Richey, FL who donated hand crafted wooden toys to children's hospitals.
Besides his wife, Mr. Helmer is survived by his three sons, Leo and Hugo of Billerica and Eric of Florida; his daughter Ingrid of NH; his brother, Horst Helmer of Germany and is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday at the Pinehurst Community Congregational Church, 803 Boston Rd. , Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
