Obituary for Herman 'Jake' 'Rusty' Roush Jr.
Herman “Jake” “Rusty” Roush Jr. – Age 82, beloved husband of Patricia A. (Mazzeo) Roush died Friday at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was born in Harrisburg, PA, December 26, 1930, the son of Herman J. Roush and Beatrice (Ashenfelter) Roush and lived in Billerica for many years before moving to Naples, ME in 1991. Mr. Roush served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired in 1968. He later was employed as a Plant Engineer at Analog Devices in Wilmington for 20 years. While living in Naples, Mr. Roush was a former Chairman of the Appeals Board, a member of the VFW and a charter member of the Sebago Lake Anglers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides his wife of 59 years, Mr. Roush is survived by his sons, John Roush and his wife Lisa of Rock Falls, IL and Joel Roush and his wife Dawna of Billerica; his daughter, Janet Grandfield and her husband Richard of Billerica and is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Roush was the brother of the late Michael Roush and Maryann Bietz.
