Obituary for Henry J. Malas
BILLERICA – Henry J. Malas, age 79, died Saturday at his home surrounded by his family. Henry was born in Chelsea, January 13, 1933 a son of the late Walter and Helen (Rolka) Malas. He was a longtime Billerica resident having moved to Port Richey, FL following his retirement after 30 years of service as Plant Manager of BASF Systems, Bedford in 1991. He served in the US Army National Guard from 1949 - 1958, receiving an Honorable discharge as Sergeant First Class of the 379th Engineer Co. He is survived by his former wife and friend Mary (Lombardi) Malas, his three daughters, Kathleen and her husband Donald Simmons of Chelmsford, Debra and her husband Robert SanSoucie of Billerica, and Joyce and her husband Stephen Desmond of Chelmsford; two sons, William Malas of Chelmsford and Richard Malas of FL; one sister, Marion Donovan and a sister in law, Rose Malas, both of Chelsea; seven grandchildren, Cory, Kristy (Simmons), Robert Jr., Jeremy (SanSoucie), Ross, Jessica (Desmond) and Mindy Malas; six great-grandchildren . He was also the brother of the late Walter Malas. MALAS – Of Billerica and Port Richey, FL, Oct. 20, Henry J. Malas. Funeral Wednesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Andrew’s Church, 45 Talbot Ave., N. Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
