It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Helen Loretta (Lee) Potter, age 88, of North Billerica. Helen was a remarkable woman - creative, generous, joyful, and full of heart—whose presence touched everyone around her. A talented and devoted artist, she found joy in creating beauty and in giving to others, sharing her talents and kindness freely. She passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, at Care Dimensions in Lincoln, surrounded by love and gentle blessings.
Helen shared fifty-nine beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, the late Stuart L. Potter Jr. Together they built a life rooted in devotion, family, and enduring love. She was a proud and devoted mother to Steven W. Potter and his wife Allison of East Hartford, CT; Katrina M. Potter; the late Cindy L. Tomlin and her husband Ronald of Billerica; Tamara Potter and her wife Susan of Dracut; and Sandra E. Millikan and her husband Gerald of Billerica. Her family was the center of her world.
Nothing brought Helen more joy than her role as “Yaya.” She was an adoring grandmother to Courtney N. Tomlin of Billerica; Haley E. (Davidson) Semeleer and her husband Brian of Lutz, FL; and Michael S. Davidson and his wife Caitlyn of Townsend. She was also the beloved great-grandmother of Ava Rose Tomlin of Billerica, a role that filled her heart with even more love and pride.
Born in Billerica on June 5, 1937, Helen was the daughter of the late Charlotte M. (Tholander) Lee and the late Canute W. Lee of Nutting Lake. She was also a cherished daughter-in-law of the late Marion E. (McQuaide) Potter and the late Stuart L. Potter Sr. of Billerica.
Helen was predeceased by her siblings William R. Lee, Charlotte A. (Lee) McDewell, and Robert G. Lee. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Joyce E. (Lee) Carpenter of Burlington, MA, and Dorothea (Lee) MacNeill of York, ME.
Helen’s creativity, generosity, and quiet grace will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those she helped. She will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
