Helen J. Robbins – Age 84, wife of the late Richard W. Robbins Sr. died Monday, June 29 at Care One in Wilmington.
Helen was born in Philadelphia, PA, March 4, 1942, a daughter of the late Carlton and Helen (Potter) Thatcher and was raised in Arlington and moved to Lincoln before moving to Billerica in 1964.
Helen was an accomplished baker and was known as the Cake Lady in town and was the former owner of the Sugar and Spice Store in the former Billerica Mall.
She is survived by her sons, Richard “Rock” Robbins Jr. and his wife Joyce of Billerica, Scott “Beaver” Robbins of Billerica and Timothy Robbins and his wife Susan of Gilmanton Iron Works, NH; her brother, Ralph Thatcher of Michigan and her grandson, Ian Robbins. She was the sister of the late Donald, Richard and William Thatcher.
Helen’s funeral will be private, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the MSPCA, www. mspca.org
