Obituary for Helen B. Smith
Helen B. Smith – Age 73, beloved wife of Robert F. Smith died Wednesday at the Complex Care Hospital at Ridgelake in Sarasota, FL. She was born in Lowell, April 17, 1939, the daughter of the late Milton G. and Marion (Foster) Caster and lived in Tewksbury before moving to Billerica 50 years ago. Mrs. Smith was employed at Raytheon for many years before working at Lahey Clinic in Burlington and retired in 2010. She was a member of the H.O.N.S. of the Aleppo Shrine, a member of the Community Congregational Church in Billerica and a former Billerica Town Meeting member. Besides her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Wanda Girouard and her husband Don of Grafton; her sons, Douglas Smith of Billerica and Randy Smith of Amesbury; her brother, Gil Caster of Methuen; her sister, Evelyn Wilbur of CO; her five grandchildren, Amanda Trellopoulos, Steven Murray, Benjamin Girouard and Molly and Matthew Smith and her great grandson, Jonathan Trellopoulos. SMITH – Of Billerica, June 20, Helen B. (Caster) Smith, A funeral service will be held Monday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Aleppo Shriners Transportation Fund, 99 Fordham Rd., Wilmington, MA 01887. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
