Obituary for Harry N. Gillis
HARRY N. GILLIS - Age 84, husband of the late Rita M. (Caissie) Gillis died Friday after a short illness.
He was born in New Brunswick, Canada, January 5, 1926, the son of the late William E. and Elizabeth Freda (Neilson) Gillis and moved to Billerica in 1954.
Mr. Gillis served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a Sheet Metal Worker for Colonial Engineering for over 40 years prior to his retirement and was an active member of the Billerica Council on Aging and St. Mary's Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Bomal and her husband Joseph and Linda Comfort and her husband Glen all of Billerica; his sons, Neal Gillis and his wife Kathleen of Framingham and Bruce Gillis of Billerica; his brother, Carl Gilliss of Canada; his sisters, Aletha Constable, Isabel Smith, Arlene McNaughton, Evelyn Davenport, Christina Sturgeon and Pauline Myles all of Canada. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
