Obituary for Harry 'Bud' Connell Jr.
Billerica - Harry "Bud" Connell Jr. beloved husband of Audrey C. (Adams) Connell died Tuesday at the Helen Ellis Hospital in Tarpon Springs, Florida surrounded by his family.
He was born in Lowell, January 11, 1937, the son of the late Harry B. Connell Sr. and Ellen E. (Longell) Connell and lived in Billerica for most of his life. He was a US Army Veteran.
Mr. Connell was employed as a Fire Fighter for the Town of Billerica for 30 years having retired in 1993. After his retirement Mr. Connell lived at his home in Limerick, ME and New Port Richey, FL where he enjoyed playing golf and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and children and their families.
Besides his wife; Mr. Connell is survived by his sons, Chris and his wife Kim, Jeff and his wife Amy all of Billerica. His sister, Jane Connell & her longtime companion Gene Boudreau of Lake Placid, FL. His grandchildren, Tara, Jeffrey Timmy, Sean, Ivana, and great grandson Aidan. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Deb Terry and her husband Tim; his niece Nichole Steeves and her husband Mike and their children Jake and Ericka as well as many close friends in Billerica, Limerick and Florida.
CONNELL - Of Billerica, May 17, Harry "Bud" Connell. Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the North Cemetery, Salem Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
