Gordon Elton Reardon Jr., age 79, beloved husband of the late Eleanor M. (Whitaker) Reardon died Monday at Lowell General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Salem, December 29, 1943 a son of the late Gordon E. Sr. and Nina G. (Veinot) Reardon and lived in Salem before moving to Billerica in 1978.
Gordon proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era and worked as a Warehouse Manager for Teamsters Local 42 for over 30 years.
He volunteered his time with both the Billerica Little League and the BGSA, coaching and being a board member for well over 15 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Lori-Ann McLaughlin and her husband John of Billerica; one son, Thomas Reardon and his wife Brandie of Hudson, NH; five grandchildren, John and his girlfriend Hayley, Ryan and his fiancée Ashley, Eric and his wife Heather, Dylan and Stephen; four great-grandchildren, Ellie, McKenna, Sofie and Callum as well as many friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., from 12 – 2 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
