Obituary for George T. Smith Jr.
George T. Smith Jr. - Age 68, husband of Deborah E. (Bailey) Smith died Wednesday at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington after a brief illness.
He was born in Cambridge, July 18, 1941, the son of the late George T. Smith Sr. and Flora D. (Galbo) Smith and lived in Somerville before moving to Billerica 35 years ago.
Mr. Smith was employed for Stop & Shop for 41 years having recently retired as the Grocery Manager in their Methuen store. He was a communicant of St. Andrew's Church in N. Billerica.
Besides his wife, Mr. Smith is survived by his son, Shawn Smith and his wife Robin of Merrimack, NH; his grandchildren, Aiden and Colby Smith; his sister-in-law, Mary Smith of Billerica, Karen Kneeland of Somerville and Sandra Sullivan of Wilmington; his brother-in-law, Steven Bailey of York, ME, his father-in-law, Charles Bailey Sr. of Billerica and godsons, Ronald Smith Jr. of Burlington and Charles Newton III of Billerica. Mr. Smith was the brother of the late Ronald Smith, brother-in-law of the late Charles Bailey Jr. and son-in-law of the late Alice Bailey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Smith Jr. Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew's Church at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
