Obituary for George E. Jacobson
Billerica – George E. Jacobson – Age 86, beloved husband of Anna M. (Villa) Jacobson died Tuesday at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading. He was born in Andover, December 16, 1927, the son of the late Armenian immigrants George and Rose (Peterson) Jacobson and was raised in W. Andover and lived in Billerica for the past 58 years. Mr. Jacobson was a graduate of Wentworth Institute, attended MIT and graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern University. He was employed as a Professional Registered Engineer having retired from Adage Corp. in Billerica. He was a former Billerica Town Meeting Member for seventeen years and was a lifetime member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks and was awarded Elk of the Year. Besides his wife, Mr. Jacobson is survived by his sons, Retired Billerica Police Office Stephen Jacobson and his wife Celeste of Billerica and Philip Jacobson and his wife Paula of Merrimack, NH; his daughter, Jeanne Peters and her husband Bill of Stoneham; his sister, Rose Doheney of Revere; six grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Lindsay, Nicholas, Jeremy and Molly and great granddaughter, Nola. Jacobson, Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Job Hill Cemetery, Dudley Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
