Obituary for Francis K. Rayne
Francis K. “Frank” Rayne Sr., age 75, beloved husband of Marilyn (Doran) Rayne died Thursday at their home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Brookline, December 20, 1941 a son of the late George and Margaret (Kirwin) Rayne and lived in Brookline before moving to Billerica 47 years ago.
Mr. Rayne served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a Firefighter for the Town of Brookline for 38 years.
He was an original charter member of the Billerica Irish American Club and a Member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks. Whether it was hunting, fishing or simply working in the yard, he loved to be outdoors and active. The yearly 4th of July parties and Rayne family camping week, were and still are treasured traditions, creating memories that will stay with everyone forever.
For all that knew and loved him, a final HI DE HI DE HO…he loved you all so.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Marilyn Rayne of Tewksbury, Lisa Bevilacqua and her husband Stephen of Tewksbury and Francis Rayne Jr. and his wife Michelle of Billerica; two grandchildren, Steven and Chelsea Bevilacqua; his siblings, George Rayne of FL, Michael Rayne of Rockland, Eleanor Cahill of Burlington, Maryclare Troiano of Yarmouth, Kathleen Gormley of Quincy, Maureen Dyer of Abington and Robert Hall of Halifax; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was also the brother of the late Paul and William Rayne.

Funeral from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday May 10, 2017. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday May 9, 2017 from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assn, 1661 Worcester Rd., Framingham, MA 01701.
