Francis Granfield Jr. – Age 63, beloved husband of Gail (Hammer) Granfield died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 11 at their home.
He was born in Lowell, July 21, 1959, a son of the late Francis Granfield Sr. and Alice (Peck) Granfield and lived in Billerica all of his life. Francis proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
Francis was employed by Frank’s Heating and Air Conditioning and later was self-employed doing IT Tech Support.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Alison Granfield of Billerica; his sisters, Jane Hillis of Tewksbury, Paula McConnell of Chelmsford and Gloria Makarevich of Chelmsford.
He was a beloved fan of NCIS and Jimi Hendrix.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Francis’s name to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, www.helpfightra.org
