Obituary for Francis E. Berton
Francis E. Berton - Age 99, husband of the late Josephine T. (Indilla) Berton died Tuesday at Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelmsford.
He was born in Medford, June 9, 1911, the son of the late Frederick and Eugenia (Wells) Berton and lived in Billerica for many years before moving to Tewksbury.
Mr. Berton worked in the E. Boston Ship Yard during WW II and later became a self-employed painter.
He is survived by his sons, Ronald Berton of Tewksbury and Raymond Berton of Dracut; his brother, Russell Berton of N. Carolina and his sister, Pauline Vincent of Maryland. Mr. Berton is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
BERTON - Of Tewksbury, formerly of Billerica, Oct. 5, Francis E. Berton. Visiting hours will be held Friday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 12 to 2p.m. with a service to be held at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Billerica Food Pantry, 365 Boston Rd., Billerica, MA 01821.
