Obituary for Evelyn F. Conway
FALMOUTH, ME – Evelyn F. (Swanson) Conway, age 80, died Sunday in Falmouth surrounded by her family.
She was born in Boston, April 19, 1935 a daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude (Welch) Swanson and lived in Billerica, Norwood, Danvers and Windham, NH before moving to Falmouth 14 years ago.
Mrs. Conway worked at the former Courier Citizen in Lowell with her best friend Roberta Bocko and then Liberty Mutual in Boston until meeting the love of her life, the late Richard Conway, with whom she celebrated 34 years of marriage.
She was a passionate mother, grandmother and homemaker and was a selfless giving person who’s greatest joy came from being surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Steven Conway and his wife Nancy of Brunswick, ME; one daughter, Linda MacDonald and her husband Ron of Falmouth, ME, her three beloved grandchildren, Kellen, Ryan and Cade. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and her special caregiver Sandy Wysowski. She was the sister of the late Norman Swanson and Eleanor Sullivan. She was the mother of the late Richard Conway Jr.
CONWAY – Of Falmouth, ME formerly of Windham, NH, Danvers, Norwood and Billerica Feb. 7. A Funeral Service will he held Saturday in St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 14 Treble Cove Rd., Billerica at 12 noon. Visiting hours will be held Saturday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
